Job Responsibilities

Your task as a Sports Consultant is primarily to create conditions for a learning environment in clubs, so that youth participation, influence, and equality increase in the everyday life of sports clubs. You do this by creating meeting places where children and youth meet adults in the clubs. With curious questions, you guide them to explore how an equal organization can develop the organization. You help the club to look into the democratic opportunities available to develop the club and make it grow from many different perspectives.

You will practically participate and perform forum theater, which is a fantastic pedagogical form where we create participation with those we meet. We will provide you with the competencies, tools, and operational forms that the sports study association has. To enable this, we work with knowledge support, process development, folk education, and training.

The position primarily involves working with children and youth in sports clubs, but you must be comfortable collaborating with all members of the club. You will meet both organizational and activity leaders in your work. They are a prerequisite for creating youth participation and club development as a whole.

You will assist in starting various forms of studies and training primarily focused on attitudes, value issues, and norms. You will set thoughts and ideas in motion among people, simply put.

You will create environments in clubs together with youth so that youth influence increases and help them become interested and inspired by leadership roles. You will collaborate with our study initiative Young Leaders.

You will be part of a team of sports consultants under the leadership of an operations manager. It is an independent job that is complemented by being part of our joint study initiatives.

Profile

We are looking for someone with various experiences in sports and club life, and an extra merit is if you have taken responsibility as an organizational leader in, for example, a board. You are well aware of sports values as you have been an active participant and/or sports leader yourself. An additional merit is if you have worked on developing yourself and your friends in the club/team/group with support from RF-SISU. We believe you have a university degree, preferably with a pedagogical focus. You should find it interesting, stimulating, and motivating to meet children and youth who are, or want to be, involved in the sports movement as well as volunteer leaders and parents. You will meet them several evenings a week and also on weekends, as that is when they can meet you.

Attributes

You are used to taking responsibility and working both independently and in teams. At the same time, you are an outgoing, flexible, and proactive person with high social and pedagogical competence. You easily establish contacts and inspire others. You are a person with a burning interest in sports, club life, and folk education. You easily create dialogue and engagement.

Scope and Conditions

We are recruiting for two positions, both of which are 100% and are so-called agreed fixed-term employment until 2027-06-30, with the possibility of extension. A probationary period of 6 months applies. In your CV, we want you to describe your club engagement, preferably focusing on whether you have held positions as an organizational leader in, for example, a club board, committee, or working group. A large part of the work takes place in the evenings and weekends. We have a collective agreement (Unionen and the Employers' Alliance - Sports Industry Committee). You must have a B driver's license and access to your own car for the job. Your workplace is the entire Idrottshalland.
